CAMDEN — All of that snow is getting hard-core tobogganers fired up for 22nd annual National Toboggan Championships at the Camden Snow Bowl in Maine.

Registration is now open for the 22nd annual event that features zany costumes as two-, three- and four-person toboggan teams go down a 400-foot-long, ice-covered wooden toboggan chute and onto a frozen pond. Sleds go as fast as 40 mph and the runs take about 10 seconds.

Categories include special awards for best costume, oldest team and fastest teams in divisions including high school and college. The event will be held from Feb. 10-12.
