FREEPORT — Police are investigating an alleged armed robbery on Saturday, Nov. 12, in the lower level of the parking garage at Freeport Village Station.

A woman reported she was accosted at 9:57 p.m. by a man who covered his face and head with a hood or scarf and had a gun. The woman said the man took her wallet and other items from her purse and left the area on foot. The woman was not injured.

Sgt. Nathaniel Goodman and Officer Paul Chenevert worked with Bath Police Officer Michelle Small and her K-9 unit to search the area, but did not find the man.

Lt. Susan Nourse said security cameras from the complex will be reviewed for more information.
