RICHMOND — Joachim F. Bois, 85 of Frog Lane and formerly of Brunswick and Topsham, died peacefully Monday, December 5, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Topsham on December 22, 1925 a son of Joseph A. and Amerilda Lavoie Bois. He grew up in Topsham and worked for 39 years as a line finisher and watchman at the Pejepscot Paper Mill.

On September 6, 1948 he married Lucille Dostie at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Augusta.

Joachim served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a communicant of St. John the Baptist and St. Leo’s Catholic Churches.

Joachim was a self educated man and was an avid reader. He enjoyed sharing his summer home with his family and friends.

He is predeceased by two sisters, Gracia Leclerc and Rolande Lachance; and a brother, Bertrand Bois.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years; his children, Priscilla Trudell of Brunswick, Daniel Bois and his wife Beth of Fairfield, Therese Pinette of Wilton, and Antoine Bois of Topsham; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00am Saturday December 10th at All Saint’s Parish, St. John the Baptist Church, 39 Pleasant St., Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. John’s Elementary School, 39 Pleasant St., Brunswick 04011.
