Jennifer Felt joined Winxnet as an inside sales representative. Most recently, she worked as an advertising media consultant for The Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram. She has more than 12 years of experience in providing sales and customer service. 

Dr. Benjamin Branch joined the attending medical staff of New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland. Dr. Branch is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He is also on staff at Maine Medical Center. 

Danielle Donnini Bartlett joined Bangor Savings Bank as assistant vice president, payroll development officer for the Greater Portland area. Bartlett of Gorham has nine years of experience in payroll. 

Dave MacElhiney joined Hall Internet Marketing as director of client services. MacElhiney has more than 15 years of experience in the industry. He has executed many local and national campaigns, including Carhartt, Boy Scouts of America, L.L. Bean, Unum, Kraft, HP and P&G. He was previously with Pierce Promotions and Event Management. 

Dion Davis was hired at Bedard Medical Equipment and Supplies as a store manager. Davis is an emergency medical technician and has served as a combat medic and firefighter in the U.S. Army and Air Force. He has also worked extensively with the Red Cross as a CPR instructor and lifeguard trainer. He is experienced in medical products research, training and development.

At WBRC Architects and Engineers, Robert Reid joined the firm as manager of the architecture department. Reid has more than 36 years of experience in the industry. James Brown also joined the firm as a manager in Portland. Brown has 26 years experience in business development, design and project management. He was previously with Opus Architects & Engineers.

James Hillier, Bradley Tirone and Amy Fitzherbert, all three formerly with Hillier & Associates, joined GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. Hillier is a geologist certified in Maine and Alaska, and nationally by the American Institute of Professional Geologists. He was previously owner and chief executive officer of Hiller & Associates Inc. Tirone is a hydrologist with extensive experience in monitoring groundwater, drinking water, wastewater and surface water as well as hydrogeological investigations. Fitzherbert is an environmental scientist with extensive experience in environmental management projects. 

Robert Borowski joined Preti Flaherty as an associate. Borowski will practice energy law from the firm’s Portland, office. He previously participated in the firm’s summer associate program in 2010. 

Cassandra Bemis, a real estate sales professional in Portland, has joined Universal Properties at Keller Williams Realty Team. Bemis recently relocated to Portland from New Haven, Conn. Julia Bachelder also joined the Universal Properties Maine Team as a buyer specialist. 

Tom Polko joined Martin’s Point Health Care as vice president of specialty and ancillary services. Polko of Falmouth was recently executive director of the Maine Center for Cancer Medicine in Scarborough. He sits on the boards of the Center for Grieving Children and the Maine Cancer Foundation.

Adam Mumm was promoted to e-services business analyst at Kennebunk Savings. Mumm joined Kennebunk Savings as a Web delivery analyst. He later held the position of business systems analyst. 

Chris Cluff was promoted to bank officer and sales performance analyst at Kennebunk Savings. Cluff of Kennebunk has worked for the bank in the information systems department since 2005, most recently as business systems analyst.

Erica Hutchins was promoted to personal lines underwriter II at Patriot Insurance Co. Hutchins joined the company in 2002 as a data entry specialist and was promoted in 2003 to an underwriter I.

Michael Bonsey, Gregory Dalton and Stephen Leackfeldt were promoted to executive vice presidents at Bar Harbor Bankshares, the parent company of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. Bonsey joined the company in 2000 and has served as senior vice president of credit administration and a member of senior management since December 2001. Dalton has been with Bar Harbor Bank & Trust for 20 years. He has served as a member of the senior management team of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust since 2000. Leackfeldt joined the bank in 2001 and has served since that year as senior vice president of retail banking and consumer lending and as a member of the senior management team. 

BOARD APPOINTMENTS

Thomas Barrows joined Husson University’s board of trustees. Barrows is a 1966 graduate of Husson University and has more than 45 years of professional and community service experience to his role as trustee.

Robert Merrill was elected to the board of directors of Camden National Bank. Merrill is the president of Merrill Furniture in Ellsworth, where he has worked for 35 years. He is also a director of Merrill Blueberry Farms. 

Richard Borts was named chair of The Cedars board of trustees. Borts of Cape Elizabeth has served on the board since 2004. He is the chief financial officer at Viral Technologies in Portland. 

Sarah Helming, director of programs and events for SailMaine, was named to the board of directors for the Interscholastic Sailing Association. Before working at SailMaine, she was the assistant director of the Portland Yacht Club’s Junior Program. 

AWARDS

Karen Mercier of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice was recently presented the community service award by Advocates for Children. Mercier joined the agency in 1988. She was nominated by Dr. Stephen Jacobs, a local pediatrician. 

BerryDunn CPAs and management consultants received United Way’s 2011 Leading the Way Award. BerryDunn was also recognized as a financial contributor to the 2011 Loaned Executive Class & Medicaid Serves.

Jeff Mateja, a real estate sales professional in Portland, has created Universal Properties at Keller Williams Realty Team. Mateja is the team leader and chief executive officer. 

Diversified Business Communications purchased the Pri-Med brand and U.S.-based assets from MC Holdings Corporation. Pri-Med is the largest primary-care focused media network in the United States with more than 50 annual medical educational conferences and digital properties. 

• Kathe Mickunas of Passionflower Farm announced that her floral design business will return to its original family flower farm in West Bath in January. Passionflower will continue with phone orders, bouquets for local delivery and special event flowers through this transition.
