A Baldwin man faces three charges after he allegedly paid two girls to perform sex acts for him, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said.

Robert T. Brower, 40, is charged with patronizing prostitution of a minor, illegally furnishing drugs and furnishing liquor to a minor. A fourth count was dropped Friday after the sheriff’s office said Brower was incorrectly charged.

Documents filed in Cumberland County Superior Court on Friday allege that Brower provided marijuana and drinks to the girls and paid them $60 to have sex in front of him last summer at his house. He later allegedly offered one of the girls money to masturbate in front of him.

One of the girls reported the incident this fall to a Sacopee Valley High School social worker, who then contacted police.

According to a statement by one of the girls, Brower gave both girls vodka and pot and then offered them the money to have sex in front of him. The statement does not indicate that Brower touched the girls sexually, but he did touch one girl’s leg, moving it because it was blocking his view.

According to the sheriff’s office, both girls were 17 at the time of the alleged incident.

Brower also faces a charge from York County of failure to appear on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

He is being held on $25,000 bail at the Cumberland County Jail.
