WALDOBORO — Tickets are now on sale for Tim Sample’s Jan. 15 Cabin Fever Relief benefit performance at Medomak Valley High School, 320 Manktown Road.

Doors open at 1 p.m. Sample is scheduled to take the stage at 2 p.m.

The event is sponsored by American Legion Charles C. Lilly Post 149, with proceeds going toward the post’s Legion Scholarship Fund.

Concessions will be sold by the Medomak Valley Boosters. Medomak Valley High School’s Honor Society is volunteering to help with the show.

Sample “ has made it through enough Maine winters to know how it’s done, chummy,” a release announcing the show states.

Born in Aroostook County and raised in Boothbay Harbor, Sample recorded his first comedy album in 1979. Since then, he has rolled out more than three dozen CDs, videos and books. From 1993 to 2004, he worked as a regular corre- spondent on CBS News Sunday Morning.

Tickets cost $12 in advance or $15 at the door. They can be purchased at Lincoln’s Market and Scuttlebutt Antiques in Warren and at Deb’s Diner in Waldoboro.
