Coast Guard Fireman Jeremy D. Drake, son of Susan Drake of Biddeford, recently graduated from the Coast Guard Recruit Training Center in Cape May, N.J. Drake is a 2010 graduate of Biddeford High School.
Army National Guard Pvt. Tyler J. Jordan has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Jordan is the son of Ginny and Author Jordan of Saco. He is a 2011 graduate of Scarborough High School.
Northern Maine Community College and its employees were recently awarded the elite Seven Seals Award for their support of the U.S. military and specifically national guardsmen and women. The award was presented by Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and Maine Army National Guard officials to NMCC President Timothy Crowley at the annual holiday luncheon.
The ESGR, a branch of the Department of Defense, selects the Seven Seals Award recipients, their highest award. It was created to publicly recognize American employers who provide patriotic support and cooperation to employees and families of those in the armed forces.
