WOOLWICH — The Woolwich Central School boys basketball team claimed the top seed in the Bus Line League Tournament with two recent victories.

In a 65-24 win over Bristol, Woolwich led 21-4, 38-8 and 50- 19 at the breaks. All 11 players on the team scored for the first time this season.

Zack Fifield had 15 points, Dakota Freeman 10 points and six steals, Jeremy Thiboutot seven points and Henry Geoffrion seven points, 15 rebounds and six assists. Tyler Young and Declan Hall played well defensively.

Nate Masters led Bristol with eight points.

In a 52-27 win over Great Salt Bay, Woolwich led 12-2, 25-9 and 38-17 at the breaks. Top scorers were Freeman (21 points), Fifield (12), Geoffrion ( 10) and Jacob Cressey ( 6). Top rebounders included Geoffrion ( 12), Fifield ( 11), Young (8) and Cressey (7).

The top scorer for GSB was Riley Cushing with eight points.

On Thursday Woolwich will host the No. 8 seed at Chop Point.
