BRUNSWICK — A burglary overnight at Michele’s Consignment Shop on Union Street remains under investigation today, but police have already recovered a cash register stolen from the business.

Officers responded just after 2:30 a. m. today to the business at 40 Union St. to find the front door smashed out, Deputy Police Chief Marc Hagan said today.

A cash register that was taken during the incident was later recovered near the Central Fire Station on Town Hall Place.

The incident remains under investigation, Hagan said, and detectives have not yet determined what might have been taken from the business.
