“This talk will familiarize you with a method of composting your food scraps and other items you may not have thought of — in your home — with Red Wiggler worms,” a library release states. “Learn how simple it is to use a plastic bin you can prepare yourself to turn your spoils into rich worm compost your plants will appreciate.”

Master Gardener Linton Studdiford returns to Patten Free Library for a program at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 1. Studdiford plans to demonstrate how to start seeds for spring.
