FALCONS NOTES: The Falcons, who have won four of their last five games, skated to a 4-2 win last Saturday night against the Pirates at the MassMutual Center. Veteran left wing Alexandre Giroux has registered points in five of his last six games. Two rookies, defenseman Dalton Prout and right wing Cam Atkinson, have points in four of the last five games. Springfield has scored six of their nine short-handed goals this season against the Pirates.

PIRATES NOTES: The Pirates have won three of their last four games, including a 5-4 shootout win against the Falcons last Friday at the Civic Center. Center Brock Trotter has scored goals in three of his last four games. Right wing Matt Watkins has had assists in each of his last three games, and right wing Ryan Duncan, who spent his first two pro seasons in Austria, has put up points in three of his last four games.
