TOPSHAM — Mt. Ararat High School got back on the winning track Tuesday with a 51-43 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball win over Lewiston.
The 11- 6 Eagles, who are scheduled to close out the regular season Thursday at Brunswick, led 18-5, 29-17 and 44-27 at the quarter breaks.
Leah Hitchcock led with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Kristi Willey chipped in with 10 points, four rebounds and four assists, Mallory Nelson 10 points and four assists, Caitlin LaFountain seven points, six rebounds, four steals and four blocks, and Molly Estes seven points and eight rebounds.
The Eagles shot 19 of 48 from the field and nine of 15 from the line and grabbed 29 rebounds, while Lewiston (2- 15) was 14 for 41 from the field, 13 of 31 from the line and had 16 caroms.
Janessa Talarico and Brie Wilson each scored nine points in the loss.

The Bobcats hit the road for a second straight night, coming away with an East-West Conference win at Buckfield.
“We weren’t really flat, but we only had 11 points in the first half and weren’t as deadly as we should have been against Buckfield,” said Bishop, whose team picked up a big 43- 40 victory the night before at Rangeley.
Richmond ( 15- 1), which hosts Greenville on Friday at 5 p.m., posted quarter leads of 11-2, 31-8 and 41-13.
Jamie Plummer led the Bobcats with 21 points and seven rebounds, while Danica Hurley chipped in 12 points, four steals and four assists. Richmond was 16 of 32 from the foul line.
Caitlin Henderson led 4-14 Buckfield with 10 points. The Bucks were seven of 20 at the line.

In Mountain Valley Conference play Tuesday, Wiscasset fell to 2-15 and is scheduled to wrap up the regular season Thursday at home versus Boothbay.
The Wolverines led 12-8, 24- 10 and 30- 17 after the first three quarter breaks, but failed to score in the fourth quarter as the Saints rallied for the win.
Heidi Pinkham and Kayla Connors led with 10 points each and Briana Goud chipped in with six. Connors also grabbed 12 rebounds.
For St. Dom’s (7-10), Olivia Cluff had eight points and McKenzie Roy and Mary Caron six each.
“Wiscasset played a 2-3 zone effectively until the fourth quarter,” said Wiscasset coach Patrick Quinn. “An aggressive press in the fourth quarter allowed St. Dom’s to get back in the game. Olivia Cluff hit key shots down the stretch.”

Leavitt posted quarterly leads of 28-13, 51-26 and 71-37 in downing Morse in Class B action on Tuesday.
The Shipbuilders fell to 7-10 and are scheduled to host Medomak Valley Thursday in Senior Night.
Tori Field tossed in a career- high 22 points and came away with four steals, while Katie Henrikson had 12 points and Kerry Cummings nine points and three steals.
Kristen Anderson poured in 24 points for Leavitt (15-2) and Adrianna Newton had 27.
At the foul line, Morse was seven of 16 and Leavitt 15 of 20.
