BRUNSWICK — The Bowdoin College women’s squash team closed out its regular season slate with a split against CBB rivals Bates and Colby last weekend.

The Polar Bears dropped a 7-2 decision to the Bobcats on Friday before bouncing back in a thrilling 5- 4 win over Colby on Saturday. The Polar Bears finish their regular season with a record of 12-12.

Against Bates, Rachel Barnes (No. 2) and Christiana Whitcomb (No. 9) were credited with the lone points for the Polar Bears. Alden Drake (No. 2), Elizabeth Schetman (No. 5), Sara Wlodarczyk (No. 7), Whitcomb ( No. 8) and Gretchen Williams (No. 9) collected victories. Drake’s proved to be a crucial five-set affair as Bowdoin clung to the tightly-contested win.

Bowdoin is set to return to action at the College Squash Association Team Championships beginning on Feb. 24 at Harvard University.
