WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Senior Billy Cole, junior Peter Gilman and sophomore Logan Russell of Bath each earned a pair of wins to lead the University of Southern Maine Huskies to two dual meet victories Sunday afternoon at the Williams College Tri-Meet.
The Huskies defeated the Oswego State Lakers in a nailbiter, 22-18, and then rolled to a 46-8 win over the Williams College Ephs.
With the pair of dual meet victories, the Huskies, who already set a school record for wins in a season, improved to 15-7.
Against Oswego State, Russell earned a major decision (11-2) over Justin Patus, while in the Williams match, Russell blanked Scott Sanderson, 6-0.
The Huskies are scheduled to compete in the New England Wrestling Association Championship Championships at Wesleyan, Conn., on Feb. 25 (10 a.m.).
