
He was born in Wyandotte, MI. on January 21, 1969, a son of the late James C. and Suzanne Butz. Jim was educated in Michigan and then went on to proudly serve his country in the US Navy for 20 years.
He loved cooking, snowmobiling, four wheeling, fishing and cutting wood while at camp.
Jim leaves behind his wife Beth of Durham, two children Devon and CJ Butz both of Texas, a brother Thomas Butz and his wife Kristy, a niece Jenna Butz, two nephews Jared Trella and Jacob Butz all of Arizona, a stepson John Gardner and his wife Alysia, and three granddaughters “the girls” Makayla, Madison and Miley Gardner all of Michigan. He also leaves behind his extended family Vince & Kim Brown of West Bath, Rob and Carla McQuillan of Winthrop and Mike and Wendy Finch of Brunswick.
