The Strand Theatre and The Saltwater Film Society will host the sixth annual Oscar bash Sunday evening.
Beginning with the Red Carpet Preshow at 6:30 p.m., the free event will feature coverage via high definition digital projection system at the Strand, according to a release.
During the Academy Awards, scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., prizes including T-shirts, film tickets and day passes to the Maine Boats Homes & Harbors annual show will be awarded.
Guests also can complete a ballot with their predictions of the night’s winners for a chance to win a 10- movie pass.
The Strand balcony bar will be open for patrons age 21 and older, with an Oscar Night champagne and chocolate special.
The Strand Theatre is located at 345 Main St., Rockland.
