PROMOTIONS
• Dr. Steve Sutton, an associate professor at the University of New England, was appointed chair of UNE’s Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy.
• Hussain Mahrous was appointed vice president of gaming operations at Hollywood Slots Hotel & Raceway. Mahrous has six years of experience in the gaming business. He joined Hollywood Slots in December.
• Ken Goetz was named a casino shift manager at Hollywood Slots. Goetz worked in the gaming industry for six years and is a former casino supervisor for Hollywood Casino Tunica, Miss. Goetz was hired in December.
• The March of Dimes Maine Chapter recently appointed five members to its board of directors. They include:
Monica Sanders of Falmouth, who recently served as the director of marketing operations for 3M Health Information Systems in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Heather Paquette of Scarborough, vice president of retail operations, eastern division for Hannaford Supermarkets.
John DiMillo of Portland, who manages DiMillo’s on the Water.
Diane Libby-Rose of Portland, a manager and vice president at The Bank of Maine’s Portland branch.
Michael Sullivan of South Portland, an associate agent and director at O’Hearn Insurance.
• Jessica Bollotta was promoted to a vice president and customer care manager at Kennebunk Savings. Bollotta, of Biddeford, joined the bank in 2006 as the manager of its office on Woodbridge Road in York.
• Andy Roth-Wells of Georgetown joined the board of directors for Emerge Maine. Roth-Wells, who is with the House Democratic Office in the Maine Legislature, has been involved in Maine politics for the past 11 years.
AWARDS
• Michael E. Dubyak, chairman and chief executive officer at Wright Express, was selected to receive the 2012 JoAnn Pike Humanitarian Award. Each year, the food bank selects an award recipient in honor of its founder, Pike. Dubyak was recognized for his commitment to giving back to the community.
• Dr. Samuel Broaddus, division director of Maine Medical Partners – Urology, was named a hometown hero by the American Urological Association. Broaddus has been a member of Portland Urologic Associates since the 1980s. He joined MMC in 2008.
• Richard P. Crossman of Allen Insurance and Financial was recently honored by Certified Risk Managers International for leadership and professionalism in the field of risk management. Crossman was recognized for 10 consecutive years of active affiliation with CRM International.
