RECENTLY, at the 2012 Brunswick Junior High Spelling Bee, eighth-grader Sydney Kay and sixth-grader Adam Benoit emerged as co-champions. First runner-up was Dasol Kim, grade seven, and second runner-up was Shane Lyons, grade eight. Twenty students in grades 6-8 participated in the school spelling bee. Kim and Benoit ended up representing the school at the Cumberland County Spelling Bee at Falmouth Middle School on Feb. 8. Benoit placed third at the county bee. The Brunswick spellers are, in front, Benoit, and in back, from left, Kay, Kim and Lyons.
