Women’s clinic today
The Birthwise Community Clinic, of Bridgton, will sponsor a free Well Woman Clinic for women of all ages from 9 a.m. to noon today at Birth Roots in Portland. Student midwives from the clinic will offer free exams on an appointment and walk-in basis under the supervision of a certified professional midwife. Services will include breast exams, pap smears, nutritional and family planning counseling and fertility awareness education. Routine screening for STIs and GYN infections also will be offered. A fair for people interested in learning more about summer camps for kids will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at East End School, 195 North St.

Dance benefit
The first annual Dancing with the Staff event will be held at 6 p.m. March 24 at Gray/New Gloucester High School.
Participants from every school in the district have been practicing their dance moves for the benefit.
The event also features a silent auction, which includes park hopper passes for Disney World,
Downeaster train tickets, a Keurig coffee maker and overnight packages.
The doors will open at 5 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors and can be purchased on a first come, first served basis at the parks and recreation office at the Henry Pennell Municipal Building. Proceeds from the event will benefit Patriot Parents PTO.

Book sale
The Friends of Walker Memorial Library are holding a book sale Tuesday through Saturday at the library, 800 Main St.
On Friday, all materials will be half price. On Saturday, books will go for $3 a bag.
All proceeds will go towards the purchase of new materials for the library.
The collection of used books is mostly adult fiction and a few other items.
