AUBURN — The L/ A Senior Hockey League is scheduled to host its summer hockey league registrations on March 19 and March 26 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Pettengill Park Pond House.
The registrations are for both men’s and women’s leagues.
There is a new men’s slowdown ‘ Coasters Division’ being developed. This division is designed to play the game of hockey, but at a more relaxed, fun level and is based on player caliber, not age. It will be designed for beginners, slow- down caliber of play, for those who still want to play hockey just to have fun, and for those older players who are not ready to hang up their skates.
Cost to play in all divisions is $255 if you are already currently playing and registered in the past winter season, $280 if not. Timekeepers, referees, insurance, pucks, all league operation cost, weekly standings, etc., are all part of the fee.
Age to register is 18 years and older for the women’s division; 25 years and older for the men’s division.
The season starts the weekend of April 13 and will end in late August, consisting of 18 games. The men’s leagues will be played on Friday and Sunday nights, while the women take the ice one weeknight each week.
