NEW FACES
• Andy Bean joined Winxnet, a Portland-based IT solutions provider, as a technical support specialist.
Bean has more than four years of technical support experience. Most recently, he worked as a business help desk specialist for Great Works Internet.
• John Devereaux of North Berwick joined the sales team at Classic Flooring, 429 Route 1 in Scarborough.
• Jeff Bellino and Jennifer Walton were hired at Pine State Services.
Bellino was named manager of the service department. He has more than 23 years of experience in related fields.
Walton was named a marketing director. She has 11 years of marketing and design experience.
• Maria Profenno joined Piper Shores, Maine’s first and only non-profit lifecare retirement community, as a new dining room manager.
Profenno had worked at Purpoodock Club for more than 13 years.
• Kevin Gaspardi was hired as general manager of Coffee By Design to oversee all of its operations of its four retail stores and the coffee roastery.
Gaspardi was previously the general manager of Freeport LLC, which owns three restaurants in Freeport and Augusta.
He also held management positions at Peet’s Coffee and Tea Company and Starbucks.
• Susan Fekety, RN, MSN, CNM, women’s health practitioner and nutrition/lifestyle counselor, opened a new clinical practice, Healthy Living Health Care in Falmouth.
She was joined by Peter Knight, a naturopathic doctor. Both previously practiced at True North Health Center in Falmouth and remain affiliated there.
• Qamrul Islam and Melanie Archer joined Putney Inc., a pet pharmaceutical company.
Islam was named manager of technical quality assurance and regulatory affairs. Islam has more than 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical regulatory and quality assurance programs, including 16 years at Boehringer-Ingelheim.
Archer was named manager of regulatory affairs.
Archer had worked at Covidien as a manager of CMC Regulatory Affairs.
PROMOTIONS
• Gary Smith of Sidney was promoted to director of PFBF, located in Oakland.
Smith joined the firm over six years age, concentrating his practice in the areas of audit, small business consulting, and tax preparation.
Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution recently promoted several of its employees.
• Lou McAuliffe was named vice president and facilities/security manager. Todd Rodriguez was promoted to vice president and core operations manager.
McAuliffe, of Saco, has been with the bank since 2002. Prior to joining the bank, he was a police officer with the Saco Police Department for 21 years. Rodriguez has been with the bank since 2004. He began his banking career in a small community bank while attending Southeastern Louisiana University.
The following employees were promoted to assistant vice president:
• Francine Anton, a loan officer; Heather Clark, a marketing officer; Mark Hodgdon, remote services manager; Jennifer McCallum, a loan processing supervisor; Denise Nickerson, a loan officer; Jeff St. Laurent, a loan officer; and Diane Tousignant, a benefits manager.
Anton joined the bank in 2009 as a loan officer.
Clark, of Cape Porpoise, joined SBSI in 2004 as the marketing assistant, and was promoted to marketing officer in 2008.
Hodgdon has been with the bank since 1995.
McCallum joined the bank in 1995.
Nickerson began her career in banking in 1988. She joined SBSI in 2008.
St. Laurent joined the bank in 2006 and Tousignant joined the bank in 2010.
AWARDS
• Timothy Grant was recently recognized with Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution 2011 A. William Kany, Jr. Community Service Award.
Grant, of Biddeford, was hired at the bank in 1995.
GENERAL
• Tanya Sambatakos, Andrea Bopp Stark, and Jennifer G. Hayden were named members of Molleur Law Office. The firm has locations in Biddeford and Portland.
