RUMFORD ( AP) — The mother of two Rumford toddlers who fell about 16 feet out of a second-floor window of their home says neither child suffered any serious injuries.
Angela Malchisky tells the Sun Journal that other than a few scratches from the icy snowbank they landed on, 3- year-old Madison and 2-yearold Aiden were doing fine Tuesday evening.
She says both children are autistic.
Malchisky said she put the children down for a nap at about 3:30 p.m. Monday and about 10 minutes later a neighbor came over to say one child had fallen.
They figured out the window mechanism that is supposed to prevent children from opening it was broken. It has since been fixed.
