BRUNSWICK — A 31-year-old Brunswick man was arrested Friday morning after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, sending her to Mid Coast Hospital with non life-threatening head injuries.
Lucas Elwell, 31, whose address was not listed, was arrested near Cedar Street, Deputy Chief Marc Hagan of the Brunswick Police Department said today.
Officers responded to Davis Court just before 8 a.m. Friday after the alleged victim reported that Elwell had assaulted her about 15 minutes earlier.
Elwell had left the home by the time police arrived, but officers located him a short time later on Cedar Street, Hagan said.
The woman’s condition was not available at press time.
Elwell was held at Cumberland County Jail on $5,000 unsecured bail, pending a May 8 court date.
