CARLISLE, Pa. — Dickinson College erased a deficit after doubles play by winning four of six singles bouts in straight sets to beat visiting Gettysburg College, 5-4 in a Centennial Conference women’s tennis match Tuesday.
Juniors Meg Kelly and Kelsey Boyce of Arrowsic battled Ilana Unger and Madeline Altholtz to a tiebreaker at the third flight before falling 9-8 (7-4) in what proved to be the decisive point in the match.
Boyce also improved to 7-2 in singles play this season with a 6-2, 6-3 win at the fifth flight.
Gettysburg returns to the court with a home match against Ursinus College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
