Hannah Russell and Andrea Hawkes will discuss crafting, and collecting and displaying dollhouses and miniatures at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Falmouth Memorial Library, 5 Lunt Road.

The displays will include the front section of the Deacon Bailey Dollhouse on loan from the Maine Historical Society as well as other dollhouses and miniatures.

Titanic anniversary

Gordon Corbett, a local educator, will give an illustrated presentation, “We Sail At Six: The Titanic,” at 6 p.m. Sunday at Wescustogo Hall on Route 115.

The North Yarmouth Historical Society is sponsoring the program to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. More than 1,500 people died after the ship collided with an iceberg in the North Atlantic.

Titanic commemorative service

There will be a commemorative service, dinner and presentation to mark the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Maine Irish Heritage Center, 34 Gray St.

The keynote speaker is David Brennan, a police chaplain, whose grandmother and great uncle were on the ship’s last voyage.

Rev. Capt. Jeffrey Monroe, USMM, will give a talk about the building of the ship, and lead the memorial service. Tracy Gardener, music director at St. Margaret’s Church in Conway, N.H., will provide music for the service.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Irish Heritage Center and the St. Augustine’s Church’s community assistance fund.

Author Pam Flowers will present a program, “Alone Across the Arctic,” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Thomas Memorial Library.

Flowers will present a narrated slide show presentation detailing her solo, trans-arctic expedition with her eight-dog team from Barrow, Alaska to eastern Canada.

The trip is the subject for two of her books: “Alone Across The Arctic: One Woman’s Epic Journey by Dog Team,” and a children’s picture book, “Big Enough Anna: The Little Sled Dog Who Braved the Arctic.” A book signing will follow.

Kids night out

The Athletics Department at Saint Joseph’s College will offer a Kids Night Out program from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Harold Alfond Recreation Center at 278 Whites Bridge Road.

Lifeguard training

Saint Joseph’s College will offer a lifeguard training course that includes instruction in injury prevention, responding to drowning, injury, breathing and cardiac emergencies.

The 28-hour training session is in accordance with the newly released lifeguard program, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid. Qualifying participants will receive an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, First Aid and CPR certification.

The course runs from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 16 to 19 at the Harold Alfond Center.

Wilderness first aid training

Telescope sky viewing program

The Wilhelm Reich Museum will host a sky program from 8 to 9 p.m. today at the museum’s Conference Center on Dodge Pond Road.

Spring health fair

Farm Days

Casco Old Fashioned Farm Days will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Watkins Flat on Route 302, across from Watkins Farm near Naples town line.
