WOOLWICH — Two all-terrain vehicles reportedly stolen from a Woolwich home on March 29 were returned to the owners, according to the Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Department.

Lt. Calvin Temple said that two 2007 Yamaha Grizzley 350 4-wheelers — one green and one blue — were missing from a garage at 51 PJs Way on March 30. At the time of the report, investigators believed the vehicles were taken between 9:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. the previous day, while the residents were away from home.

Temple said that at about 8 a.m. Tuesday, Deputy Steve Thibeault drove by the residence and noticed that the two four-wheelers had been left in a driveway crossover near the home.

They were a little dirty but otherwise fine, Temple said. A chain saw taken during the March 29 heist was sitting atop one of the ATVs as well.
