TOPSHAM — Mid- Coast Presbyterian Church is lighting it up for Autism Awareness Month.

The church’s new sign at 84 Main St., will be lit blue this month as part of a three-yearold global initiative to raise awareness about the growing public health concern, according a news release from the church.

The church has several members who have first-hand knowledge of how Autism touches people’s lives, including Pastor Diane Hoppe Hugo’s son.

The “Light It Up Blue” initiative calls for “iconic landmarks around the world to ‘Light It Up Blue’ and so will we,” the release states.
