
He was born in North Carolina to Thomas and Laura Hayes, who predeceased him.
Thomas was a spray technician at BIW for over 30 years.
His hobbies were playing poker, bowling and going to Casinos. An avid collector of Jack Daniel’s Memorabilia, loved The Beatles, Nascar and Johnny Cash.
He is survived by his loving wife and friend Teena Irvin Hayes of 25 years. Daughter; Amanda Whitworth of Wiscassett, 2 sons; Dylan Hayes of Topsham and Dustin Hayes of Amherst, MA. Three grandchildren; Tanisha, Javon and Isaiah. 2 sisters; Tracy Young and her husband Butch of Bowdoin and Lynn Bell and her husband Rich of Hammond, IN., Sister in law; Tammy Nardelli and her husband Gary of New Britian, CT and brother in law Michael Irvin and Wife Kimberly of New Britian, CT. Five nieces, two nephews and one great niece & one great nephew.
Visiting hours on Sunday, April 29th from 3-5 p.m. at Bracketts. Memorial mass at St. Charles on Monday, April 30th at 10 a.m.
