BATH — The Morse High School jayvee boys baseball team fell to Maranacok 7-5 in recent action.
Ethan Winglass pitched six innings, giving up on three earned runs, while striking out five and walking one. He was also 3-for-3 with four stolen bases and a run scored.
Zach Holbrook had a double and run scored, while Andrew LoCavera was strong behind the plate, and Matt Fontanez was a defensive standout in the outfield, also going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.
Morse trailed 3-0 after the first inning, settled down and got the lead back in the fifth, only to lose it in the bottom of the sixth.
