The new slate of officers includes Commander Frank Leavitt Jr.; Senior Vice Commander Lin Stevens; Junior Vice Commander Al Bourque; Quartermaster Roger Stevens; Surgeon Tara Jones Molloy; Chaplain Henry Haley; and Judge Advocate Bob Lemont.
During the past year, post members continued to serve by assisting veterans and local community programs. Among those helped were VA residents at Togus, local food banks and individual veterans. The post also sponsored Topsham Recreation soccer and baseball teams.
Fundraisers include quarterly Friday night suppers at the Topsham American Legion Post 202, raffles and semi-annual poppy sales.
The next poppy sale will be at Shaw’s Supermarket in Brunswick on May 19.
The post meets at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at American Legion Post 202 on Foreside Road. All members and those wishing to join are welcome to attend.
