WINDHAM — The Freeport High School girls lacrosse team beat Windham 10-5 on Saturday.

 
 
The Falcons improved to 4-2 and are scheduled to host Waynflete on Tuesday.

Freeport led 6-3 at the half, but Windham came back early in the second period to score two unanswered goals and cut the deficit to 6-5.

Freeport’s Jacelyn Davee and Alexandra Mitch counted with a goal each to give the Falcons some breathing room.

Scoring for Freeport were Mitch (five goals), Meredith Broderick (two), Jess Hench (goal, three assists), Mia Thomas (goal) and Davee (goal).

Scoring for Windham were Bebe Butts (two goals) and Christina Pollard, Emily Gilman and Emily Bland with a goal each.

Freeport goalie Molly Lane had eight saves.

MARANACOOK 15
MORSE BOYS 6

“A very slow start for our Morse team,” said Morse coach Jay Paulus of his team’s Saturday conest in Bath. “Not too much to say other than we didn’t show up to play. We have a solid team of athletes, but the squad has their work cut out for them if we want to tun this around with another full week of games.”

Alexander Paulus led the way with two goals, an assist and three groundballs, while Zach Hershey had two goals and five groundballs, Schuyler Mace a goal, assist and eight groundballs, Matt Buczkowski an assist, Dylan Crowell five groundballs and Oliver Kruze a goal and groundball.

Also, Jay Saunders three clears and five groundballs, Kyle Perry a clear and three groundballs, PC Ostergaard a groundball, Alec Beveridge four groundballs and goaltender Alex Small 12 saves.

Morse is 2-2 and scheduled to host Gardner today and Lincoln Academy on Wednesday.

HYDE GIRLS 8
HEBRON 16

Olivia Grimmer scored four goals and Hannah Hearn added three to lift Hebron past Hyde on Friday. Hebron led 9-3 at the half.

Hebron goalie Sara Grover made six saves.

Laughlynn Bragg had 4 goals and Julia Jackson two for Hyde, while goaltender Carolyn Moore made eight saves.

MT. ARARAT 14
GARDINER GIRLS 4

Mt. Ararat (2-2) visited Gardiner (0-5) on Saturday and beat the Tigers, 14-4. Mt. Ararat led at halftime 11-1 with Bailey Sullivan in net.

Goals from Mt. Ararat came from Haley Michaud (four), Cat Johnson (three), Rowley Jones (two) and one each from Zoe Bradshaw, Sydni Clark, Sara Berry, Alyssa Curit and Sierra Gilley.

Goals for Gardiner came from Paige Pillsbury (two), Brooke Davis and Emma Hickey.

Anna Bruning minded the net for the Eagles in the second half, while Mikala Parker played in net for the Tigers.

Mt. Ararat is scheduled to host Mountain Valley tonight at 6:30 p.m.

HYDE BOYS 3
HEBRON 11

On Friday, Hebron held quarterly leads of 3-0, 9-0 and 10-2 to down visiting Hyde.

Nick Manganielo and Sam Cloutier each scored three goals in the win, while Kyle Bernier ad Trevor Buchas added two each.

Ben Burlock scored twice for Hyde and Evander Leonardson added one score.

Hebron goalie Patrick Shelley made 10 saves, while Hyde goalie Alec Randall was busy with 20 stops.

FREEPORT BOYS 8

Evan Hench had three goals and four assists as the Falcons picked up their first victory with a Eastern Maine Class B win at home over winless Fryeburg (0-4) on Thursday.

Galen Simmons chipped in two goals for 1-3 Freeport, while Sam Wagon and Matt Schultheiz had one goal each. Cam Farrar also scored a goal and dished out an assist, and Isaak Dearden was the groundball leader.

Freeport goaltender Alex Sturtevant had 17 saves.
