TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat High School jayvee baseball team defeated Edward Little 3-2 in recent action.
Mt. Ararat (2-4) scored two runs in the first and one in the sixth, while Edward Little scored one in the first and one in the seventh.
Dan Porter pitched complete game five-hitter with seven strikeouts and two walks.
Offensively, Griffin Stockford walked and scored a run, Brandon Jessaume had a double, Mike Abreu walked twice and scored a run (played well behind the plate) and Reilly Kons walked, singled and scored a run.
Left fielder Zac Mitchell was a defensive standout and threw the tying run out at home to end the game.
