BIDDEFORD — Bobby Cote single home two runs and Nate McKeown smacked a three-run double during a six-run second inning as Biddeford earned a 9-4 win over Marshwood in an SMAA baseball game Monday.

Cote struck out seven, walked one and allowed nine hits to earn the win for Biddeford (4-3)

Luke Fernandez had two hits and an RBI for Marshwood (5-2).

NOBLE 3, GORHAM 2: Corey Halliday needed just 75 pitches to record a complete-game victory for the Knights (4-3) over the Rams (3-3).

Halliday struck out four and scattered six hits with no walks.

Jake Emard tripled and scored in the fifth inning to give Noble a 3-0 lead.

Spencer LaPierre doubled to start a two-run rally for Gorham in the seventh.

THORNTON ACADEMY 6, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Jeff Gelinas struck out 10 while pitching a three-hitter for the Trojans (3-3) against the Red Riots (1-5) at South Portland.

Gelinas was also 2 for 3 with two RBI.

SCARBOROUGH 7, BONNY EAGLE 1: Nick Bagley knocked in two runs, and Ben Greenberg had six strikeouts in four innings to lead the Red Storm (6-1) over the Scots (3-3) at Scarborough.

CAPE ELIZABETH 12, WELLS 0: Zach Culver needed just five innings to hit for the cycle as Cape Elizabeth (4-3) posted a mercy-rule victory over the Warriors (4-3) at Wells.

Culver drove in six runs. He had a single in the second inning, a solo homer in the third, a double in the fourth and a triple in the fifth.

Sam Kozlowski gave up just one hit, struck out six and walked one.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2, YORK 0: Adam Healy pitched a three-hitter as the Patriots (5-3) to beat the Wildcats (1-6) at York.

Healy struck out seven and walked none.

Austen Keenan scored from third with two out in the first inning when York tried to throw out a runner at second base. Justin McKenna brought home the second run with a two-out infield single in the seventh.

Losing pitcher Aaron Todd also gave up just three hits and finished with six strikeouts, four walks and one earned run.

OCEANSIDE 8, MARANACOOK 7: Anthony Campagnoli had a two-run double during a seven-run fourth inning, and the Mariners (3-3) held off the Black Bears (5-2) at Readfield.

Campagnoli, Seth Batty, Dylan Maloney and Drew Townsend all had two hits for Oceanside.

FALMOUTH 8, LAKE REGION 2: Will D’Agostino hit a two-run double in the first inning to get the Yachtsmen (5-0) started in a win over Lake Region (0-6) at Falmouth.

Andrew Emple added and RBI double in the third inning, and Grayson Beressi knocked in two runs in the sixth with one of his two doubles.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 8, MCI 0: Andrew Bartlett had a pair of RBI singles and pitched a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts and one walk to lead the Eagles (4-2-1) over the Huskies (0-6) at Newcastle.

Sawyer Pinkham, Merritt Wotton and Allen Oliver knocked in one run each.

WATERVILLE 19, MEDOMAK VALLEY 6: Dan Pooler and Lance Lefebvre each had three hits for Waterville (7-1) in a win over the Panthers (2-3-1) at Waterville.

Robby Griffin homered for Medomak Valley.

WAYNFLETE 7, SACOPEE VALLEY 6: The Flyers (4-2) scored on an error with two out in the bottom of the seventh to beat Sacopee Valley (1-5) at Portland.

Mitch Newlin had two hits, two runs scored and four stolen bases for Waynflete.

WISCASSET 11, MONMOUTH 7: Zach Ellison had a triple, two singles and two RBI to lead the Wolverines (4-3) to a win in Monmouth.

Jason Weatherby added a triple, a single and three RBI for Wiscasset. Edward Stewart had a triple and a single.

Monmouth (1-5) was led by Billy Cummings with a double and a single, and Kyle Fletcher and Josh Fournier with two singles apiece.

LACROSSE

WESTBROOK 13, GORHAM 7: Austin Watts had three goals and four assists as the Blue Blazes (3-3) beat the Rams (3-4) at Westbrook.

Alex Benson, Nick Tremblay and Matt Cavanaugh each added a pair of goals. Benson also had four assists.

Jimmy Talbott scored four goals, and Tyler Rankin contributed two goals and an assist for Gorham.

SOUTH PORTLAND 12, WINDHAM 1: Mike Salvatore had three goals and two assists as the Red Riots (3-4) cruised past the Eagles (2-4) at Windham.

Joey DiBiase, Duncan Preston and Thomas Leddy each added two goals.

Christian Zwimer scored for Windham. Sam Blauvelt made 25 saves.

YORK 17, LAKE REGION 2: Jarid Petruzzella and Kyle Robinson each scored five goals as the Wildcats (4-0) rolled past the Lakers (1-5) at Naples.

Connor O’Brien and Shane Hughes added three goals apiece.
