BRUNSWICK — Susan Jill Arnold, 68, died at her home in Brunswick on May 5.

She was born in Bronxville, N.Y. on June 6, 1943, a daughter of Barbara and D. Duncan Arnold. She grew up in Freeport and graduated from Waynflete School in 1960.

Arnold worked as a volunteer social worker with several human service agencies. She was an avid reader and accomplished painter and photographer. She enjoyed walking, hiking and traveling extensively. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren, Elias and Willa.

She was predeceased by her father and her brother, Chris Arnold.

She is survived by her sons, Jason Burrill and Scott Burrill and his wife, Connie, and their children Elias and Willa; her mother, Barbara H. Arnold; brother D.R. Arnold and his wife, Mary; sister, Amanda Arnold and her wife, Alison; nieces Catherine Arnold Mather and Elizabeth Arnold; and her dear friend, James Thatcher.

Visiting hours were held on May 10 at Lindquist Funeral Home in Yarmouth. Burial will take place in South Freeport Cemetery at a later date.
