BRUNSWICK — Prior to a budget workshop, the Brunswick Town Council on Monday:
— Voted unanimously to recognized Town Commons Day, May 17, which will this year mark the 293rd anniversary of the date the Pejepscot Proprietors granted land to the town of Brunswick.
— Voted unanimously to discontinue a “paper street,” which was planned but never built, that runs through property at the Longfellow School. The discontinuation was made at the request of Bowdoin College, which now owns the Longfellow School property.
— Approved unanimously a letter of intent to apply for a Maine Department of Transportation Safe Route to Schools Grant.
— Approved unanimously the minutes of April 30, 2012.
