NEW FACES

• Nathan Henderson joined Stantec as a senior aquatic biologist and project manager. Henderson was previously with AECOM in South Portland.

• Jeron Comeau joined Soft Trac LLC as a nonprofit consultant. Comeau has more than 15 years of professional experience in the nonprofit community.

• Josh Birch and Stephen Strong were hired at Unified Technologies, a Portland based IT consulting firm. Birch was named a support technician, and Strong was named a systems engineer.

• Brock Foreman and Lacey Barnes joined Diversified Business Communications.

Foreman was hired as a marketing manager. He was previously employed with Two Lights Consulting in Cape Elizabeth.

Barnes was hired as a sales representative. She was previously employed with L.L. Bean.

• Nat Salfas, Scott Owings, Shauna Little and Justin Dodd joined Clyde Bergemann Auburn, formerly Bachmann Industries.

Salfas was hired as a project manager. He is a Maine registered architect with extensive expertise in designing and managing large projects.

Owings was hired as an applications engineer. He previously worked in sales and marketing for Outsource Works in Lewiston.

Little was named a designer/ drafter. She formerly worked for BKM Total Office, where she was a junior engineer and CAD designer.

Dodd was named a design engineer. He was previously a senior designer for Alstom Power in Windsor, Conn.

• Brian Walker joined DennyMike’s Sauces and Seasonings LLC to oversee production, purchasing, cost analysis and warehouse functions at its three production facilities. Walker, of Old Orchard Beach, was previously with B&M Baked Beans.

• Carrie Zeisse and Sadie Kitchen joined United Way of Greater Portland.

Zeisse, of Boston and Cape Elizabeth, was named senior vice president of operations. She was previously director of finance at the United South End Settlements.

Kitchen, of Yarmouth, was hired as an administrative assistant. Previously, Kitchen was an English professor at Xingtan College in Qufu, Shandang Province, China.

• Vince Damasco and Kevin Hunt were named vice presidents, research, at R.M. Davis, Inc., a wealth management company in Portland.

Damasco was previously an equity research analyst at The Colony Group and an assistant vice president at Sentinel Asset Management in Vermont.

Hunt, of Falmouth, was formerly a technology analyst at Thomas Weisel partners, Hapoalim Securities and Auriga USA.

• Christiana Mann joined Peter Thompson & Associates in Portland and Bangor. Mann specializes in personal injury litigation and was named a New England Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in this practice area in 2010 and 2011.

• Sarah Mosley joined New York Life as an agent. Mosley previously spent seven years working in the environmental field.

• Andrew Kull joined MittelAsen, LLC in Portland. Kull will focus his practice on business and commercial law, civil litigation and bankruptcy, where he represents both debtors and creditors. Kull previously operated a solo practice based in Auburn.

• Stephen Stuart joined Fluid Imaging Technologies Inc. as an IT systems administrator. Stuart, of Yarmouth, previously worked for Casco Bay Micro in Freeport, where he consulted to Fluid Imaging on a regular basis.

• Alexis Mantis of South Portland was selected to participate in the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals, a yearlong fellowship for study and work in Germany.

Mantis has studied at the Culinary Institute of America. In Germany, she will attend a two-month intensive German language course, study at a German university or professional school for four months, and complete a five-month internship with a German company in her career field.

• The Portland Regional Chamber launched a newly designed website. Celsius Technology Group, a technology development company in Falmouth, handled most of the redesign. The site can be viewed at www.portlandregion.com.

EXPANDING

• Winxnet, a provider of IT outsourcing and consulting, has expanded with the addition of a new office in Marlborough, Mass. Winxnet is headquartered in Portland and also has offices in Hartford, Conn., and Chattanooga, Tenn.

AWARDS and RECOGNITION

• Susan Nason of Clark Insurance was named the 2012 Insurance Professional of the Year by the Insurance Professionals of Greater Portland.

Nason, of Portland, received the same honor in 2005 and 2011 as well as being named the 2009 Maine Insurance Professional of the Year. Nason has worked in the insurance industry for 35 years.
