BRUNSWICK — A pair of Bowdoin College softball players have been honored in All- New England selections announced by the New England Softball Coaches Association.

Senior second baseman Amy Hackett was named as a Second-Team selection, while sophomore catcher Casey Correa earned a Third-Team nod.

Hackett batted .347 with a team-record seven triples and 36 RBIs this spring for the Polar Bears, closing out her career eighth all-time at Bowdoin with 139 hits. In addition to the runs scored mark of 100, her 16 career triples and 52 career walks are both school records, while her 47 stolen bases are second alltime and 92 RBIs are fourth.

Correa enjoyed a breakout campaign that saw the backstop bat .394 with seven home runs, tying the school record also knotted by Gen Barlow. Her 40 RBIs are the thirdmost in a single-season in school history, while her 82 total bases are fourth-most in a year. She also caught 10 runners stealing this spring.
