PORTLAND — Members of Occupy Maine organized a spruce-up event Tuesday in Congress Square Plaza in Portland as part of an effort to draw attention to preserving the park as a public space for the city. Owners of the Eastland Park Hotel have proposed using the space for a ballroom, part of a multimillion-dollar expansion.
