FARMINGTON (AP) — A former Jay Elementary School employee has been charged with sexually abusing two children younger than age 12 within the last six years.
Police and school officials say the alleged assaults occurred after 81-year-old Carl Seaward Jr. of Wilton retired from the school district.
He was a teacher and counselor.
Seaward was held on $10,000 bail and ordered to have no contact with children younger than 16. His next court date is Aug. 24.
