BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring the Archery Hunter Education Course.
This course is fully certified by the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Department of Maine. Student will receive a wealth of knowledge regarding equipment, proper hunting methods, responsibilities and general safety, and will include outdoor exercises.
The course is open to ages 10 and up. Participants 12- years old or younger must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, while students 13-16 are encouraged to have their parents attend classes with them. Adults are welcome to register for the course.
A variety of teaching techniques will be used by the instructors, including films, lecture, home textbook study, demonstrations and active participation by students.
Upon successful completion, a certificate will be awarded and each student’s name will be reported to the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
The fee is $10 for participants.
The first class meets on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the second session slated for June 10 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The location will be announced.
