Local parades and the annual We Remember ceremony highlighted Monday’s Memorial Day activities for many throughout the Mid-coast area. At top, members of the Morse High School marching band come up Centre Street in Bath. Among the floats in the Bath parade was “You Are Not Forgotten,” which remembers 13 Mainers listed as Prisoners of War and Missing in Action. At far left, a color guard pauses on the Frank J. Wood Bridge for a wreath-laying ceremony along the Topsham to Brunswick parade route. Below left, representatives of Cub Scout Pack 699 were among the numerous Scouts groups taking part. At bottom, guests are seated as they wait to speak during the 11th annual We Remember ceremony at City Park in Bath. Each year, the names of the past year’s war dead are read.
