SALEM, N.H. — Police have released the released the identity of a New Hampshire man who drowned while at a family outing.
Salem police say 44-year-old Raymond Morton of Windham was swimming with family members when he decided to swim across Shadow Lake in Salem around 9 p.m. Friday.
In a statement, police said they were called to the lake for “a report of an intoxicated male” who had gone for a swim and hadn’t been seen for about 15 minutes.
When police arrived, they borrowed a boat and found Morton’s body floating face down in the water about 75 yards offshore.
