The Rockland Yacht Club will hold a solstice race and barbeque on June 23. The race is open to all sailors and will have three PHRF divisions: Division 1 will group those with ratings up to 160, Division 2 will group ratings of 161 and up and Division 3 will be a non-spinnaker class.

The Maine Games/Lobster Bowl punt, pass and kick competition will be held at Waterhouse Field in Biddeford on Saturday, July 21 at 9 a.m. The event is free and the top two finishers in each age/gender division will compete during halftime of the 23rd annual Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic to see who advances to the New England sectional event this fall.

The University of Maine football team will hold a camp for high school players from 4:30 to 8 p.m. July 26 at Thornton Academy in Saco. The cost is $25.

The team will also hold a seven-on-seven, two-hand touch tournament for high school teams July 28 at Alfond Stadium in Orono. Tournament games will be officiated by University of Maine coaches. The cost is $150 per team.
