PORTLAND (AP) — A Maine-based dog accessory company founded by actress Glenn Close and her husband has been sold.
The Portland Press Herald reported that FetchDog was sold to Potpourri Group Inc., a Chelmsford, Mass., catalog company. The sales price was not disclosed.
FetchDog was launched in Portland in 2007 by Close and her husband, David Shaw, who founded Westbrookbased Idexx Laboratories Inc. Close and Shaw own a home in Scarborough.
The company sells high-end dog bowls, leashes, toys and other products by catalog and on the Internet.
