BATH — Thomas Warren put an exclamation point on the end of a stellar season, throwing a no-hitter and striking out 12 in five innings of work as the Plant Home successfully defended its title with a 10-0 victory over Wilson’s Drug Store Monday night in the Bath Cal Ripken Minor Division Championship.

The Plant Home scored three times in the first inning, taking advantage of three walks and singles by Jackson Walker and Max Brochu.

In the bottom of the second, the winners coupled four walks with singles from Sam Kirkpatrick, Logan Pelletier and Josiah Yeaton to plate four more runs for a 7-0 lead.

Wilson’s pitcher Sam Sinibaldi settled down, holding the Plant Home to only one run over the next two frames.

Wilson’s started the fifth with a hit batsman to Casey Wolfe. The Plant Home catcher Jackson Walker scrambled after a wild pitch before throwing a laser to second base to retire Wolfe.

Kenny Bassett relieved for Wilson’s. Yeaton reached on an error and was followed by Isaak Flaming, who roped a double, putting runners at second and third with no outs.

Warren came up to the plate and hit a fielder’s choice deep into the hole at second, allowing both Yeaton and Flaming to score the final two runs of the game.

For the season, the Plant Home finished 13-0-1, and over the two-year period, 28-1-3.
