
Loretta was born on Nov. 27, 1932 in Bath to Eleazer J. and Emma M Babine. She was raised in the Bath and West Bath. Attending local schools, she married Arthur E. Kreidler her lifelong love and partner on Nov. 2, 1950.
Bearing and raising five boys and one girl with him. Retta as she was called by family and friends worked at Maine Shoe, The Plant Home, Congress Sportswear, The Front Street Deli, Sebasco Resort and Gasparilla Island Resort and finally with Betty Darling and friends volunteering at the Bath soup kitchen. Mom’s passion in life was caring for her husband and children and most of all playing “Bingo” where ever a game was held.
She is predeceased by her husband, Arthur E. Kreidler Sr. of 59 years, son, Wayne Charles Kreidler, brothers; Leo, Joe, Lawrence “Buddy”, Edward, Billy, and Dicky, sisters; Grace, Margret and Emily “Dolly”.
She is survived by her children; Arthur,
Fredrick, Brenda,
Bruce and Danny, sisters; Francis, Elizabeth “Betty” and Theresa, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren six great-great grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
There will be a grave side service at Oak Grove Cemetery Southside on Saturday, June 23rd at 11 am for friends and family. In leiu of flowers and cards, please make donations to Bath Soup Kitchen located at the First Baptist Church, 851 Washington Street, Bath.
