• Lynn Boardway joined Spectrum Generations as the adult daybreak coordinator at its Cohen Community Center in Hallowell. Boardway has 28 years of experience as a licensed social worker.

Kristy Yeaton joined iBec Creative, a new Web developer. Yeaton, of Portland, has technical experience in a variety of programming, software platforms and operating systems.

Her past work experience includes mobile web development, specifically for the iPhone platform and mobile application development.

Sandra Goodwin was named vice president, loan administration, at Franklin Savings Bank in Farmington. Goodwin has nearly 30 years of banking experience in western Maine. She was previously with Bangor Savings Bank.

Nate Rudy joined Fontaine Family — The Real Estate Leader as a sales agent. Rudy, of Winthrop, is director of economic and community development for the city of Gardiner.

John Henry and Jim Stewart were hired at Stantec.

Henry joined the firm’s aviation engineering team as a project manager. He has more than 14 years of experience in civil engineering.

Stewart was hired as a senior project manager in the company’s environmental services practice, specifically its fuel systems engineering group. He has more than 20 years of experience in the retail petroleum business.

Kati Sigler joined BerryDunn, CPAs and Management Consultants as a tax specialist in the firm’s tax consulting and compliance group.

Sigler is enrolled at Bentley University earning her master’s degree in taxation. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for Hartnett & Co.

David Stolt was hired to manage Avesta Housing’s Home Ownership Center in Portland.

Stolt previously administered the foreclosure diversion program at the state Bureau of Consumer Credit Protection.

Wayne Thornton joined Dr. Newton’s Naturals as a supervisor of its inbound sales management team.

Thornton has several years of direct-response call center sales experience. His most recent leadership role was at Legacy Publishing Co.

Jack Wholey was hired as general manager of Modern Pest Services of Brunswick.

Wholey has extensive management and leadership experience. He previously worked in financial process automation, retail sales and telecommunications.

Paul Lavallee was promoted to training manager at Modern Pest Services of Brunswick.

For the past seven years, Lavallee has served as home care service manager in its service center in Augusta.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS

Philip Jean, vice president of elder care services at St. Mary’s Health System and an administrator at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston, was recently appointed district one director of the American College of Health Care Administrators board of directors.

Jean has been a member of the board since 2000.

Andrea Killiard, marketing director at Piper Shores, was named to the board of directors and marketing committee for the Scarborough Economic Development Corporation.

Killiard currently serves on the Scarborough Community Chamber as secretary and is chair of the marketing committee.

Bruce Jones was elected to the board of directors for the Maine Real Estate & Development Association. Jones, of Yarmouth, has worked in the commercial furniture industry for 20 years serving in various sales, training and management capacities. In 2004, he joined Creative Office Pavilion as its business development manager.

AWARDS and RECOGNITION

Beth Newlands Campbell, president of Hannaford Bros. Co., received the 2012 Hon. Edmund S. Muskie Access to Justice Award.

The award recognizes individuals, who demonstrate a strong commitment to the public good. As the president of Hannaford, she has supported many initiatives that promote equality and well being.

Robyn Saunders of GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc. was recently recognized as the Cumberland County Soil and Water Conservation District’s Steward of the Year.

Saunders was recognized for her commitment to the protracted processes surrounding the development of several local Watershed Management Plans, including Long Creek in South Portland, Red Brook in Scarborough and Capisic Brook in Portland.
