SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Rebecca Adelle Nelson and Ronald “Joe” Rutkowski of South Bend were married on June 1, 2012.

The ceremony took place at Ruthmere Mansion in Elkhart, Ind., and was officiated by Dave Miller, a former mayor of Elkhart. The bride is given in marriage by Tom Cardwell, her stepfather.

Katy Yoder of Elkhart served as the maid of honor, while the best man was Papa Joe Rutkowski of Grenada, Miss. The groomsmen were Chris Dauphin of Bath, Maine; Ben Rutkowski of Fort Wayne, Ind.; Jimmy Rutkowski of Granger, Ind.; Chris Faulkner of Granger; and Brian Brasher of Mississippi. The ushers were the Faulkner boys.

The flower girl was Jolene Judith-Grace Rutkowski of South Bend, and the ring bearer was Lucas Nelson of Phoenix, Ariz.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Dan Allen, and a reception took place at Nagy Hall in Elkhart.

Nelson, daughter of Tom and Kathy Cardwell, graduated from Concord High School, Purdue University (bachelor’s degree), Indiana State University (master’s), and she is currently working as registrar at Harrison College.

Rutkowski, son of Elizabeth Faulkner and Papa Joe Rutkowski, graduated from Morse High School, and is a product specialist for ABI Absolute Innovations.

The couple took a wedding trip to South Beach, Fla., and make their home in South Bend.
