BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick American Legion baseball team swept a weekend doubleheader against Andy Valley in Zone III action at Leavitt High School on Saturday.

“This team is young, but we have received good pitching recently and some timely hitting,” said Brunswick coach Tony Viola, whose squad is 3- 2 and hosts Mechanic Falls on Thursday at Edwards Field (5:30 p.m.). Tuesday’s home game against undefeated Lewiston was postponed due to rain.
