Wings ‘N Things Clothes Closet at Casco Village Church will be open from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursdays and Saturdays during the summer. Most items are priced at $1 or less. The church is at 941 Meadow Road (Route 121), Casco. Call 627-4282 for details.
The Rev. Herbert Henry, pastor of the Congregational Church of Wells, for the past 10 years has retired effective July 1. With his wife, the Rev. Joanne Stoughton, acting as liturgist, Henry led his last service on June 17. A reception and receiving line were held immediately after the service. The couple is retiring to their new home in Punta Gorda, Fla. The Rev. Linda Hirst, interim pastor of the church, will conduct services on July 8.
